The inspector came and told us and the buyers that he saw nothing that would stop the sale of the house. The next steps are in the buyers court, final loan papers and an assessor from their bank.

Getting Closer

The buyers offered what we wanted!! The final day for closing is October 16th. We signed the offer sheet and are hoping the inspection goes well.

Good Day

I talked to our agent this morning and found out a couple of things.
1. I was mistaken on how many showings we had yesterday. We were to have only 1. The other agent and our agents office had an oops when they scheduled the appointment.
2. We have an offer!!! I will post more on this when I get details.

New Showings

We had 2 scheduled appointments for showing the house for Sunday the 6th. One was to be here between 2 and 3 the other was 2:30 to 3:30pm. We also have a showing Tuesday night around 5:30pm.
The first group didn't show up and the second showed a little after 3. When they finished looking over the property the people wanted to start negotiations their agent along with me and Sandy told them that it was not the way to do this. The agent then told us she will be writing an offer ASAP. Our agent called us about an half hour later telling us that the offer sheet from them will be done by Monday morning and to us ASAP after she gets it.
Just prior to this viewing I have noticed a lot of cars/trucks/SUV's slowing down and stopping in front of the house. One truck stopped just before the scheduled showing and the couple had a copy of the listing and they want to schedule an appointment for showing.

Long Awaited Update

We let our last agent go back at the end of July when that contract ran out. We talked to another agent afterwards and found that we needed to fix some things in the house. Since then we have been busy working on the house.
On September 3rd we signed with another agent who are with a larger firm and so far are treating us much better.

Packing

We have been packing up the house the last couple of days. Man did we ever collect the crap over the years

RE: Another Showing today

Well I waited until 12:05pm to call my agent because the other party had not shown up. According to him the other agent called just moments prior to me calling to cancel the viewing.

Well they were only half an hour late. But they took there time and kinda expressed interest via the interpreter/agent

We have a showing at 4:30 to 5:30 today. The real estate agent called yesterday at 9am asking if we could show last nite at 4:30 but i told him today would be better.

I got the call from my realtor at 1:15(45 minutes into the time the people where to be here) that they will not be here.

We have another showing today. This family is due to arrive between 12:30 and 1:30. Lets hope they get here on time and like the place.

Another Showing

Well we had another showing Wednesday. The "buyers" where scheduled to be here between 10 and 11. There agent showed up at 10:30 and they arived at 10:45 and stayed near the house until 11:10.

No New News

Have not heard anything so far this month

Second Showing

We had our 2nd showing this morning. The buyer did not appear to be too interested in the house

Huh?

I discovered that the City housing authority is selling the house next door for $115,000. This is after my real estate agent asked us to lower our price because houses around here don't sell for near what we started from.

My agent called and asked us to lower the price by $10,000

First showing

We had a showing on February 13th & 14th to a couple. It appeared that they were interested at the time, but alas no offer.

Sorting

Going through the basement, computer room and garage I can not decide on what to keep for the move.

Reasons to Move or to Stay

When me and my wife decided to move we came up with a pro and con list to stick around Milwaukee.
The reasons to leave:

• property taxes (in Milwaukee $3000 year for a 120' X 30' lot and in Arkansas $300 year for 5 acres)

• potholes
• freezing temperatures
• the 'wheel tax'
• Idiot drivers
• City noise
• My dad needs us to help him
• Lack of work for me
• Need a change
• Can ride my motorcycle longer in the year
  

Reasons to stay

• My wife's family
• We grew up here
• a few friends

As y'all can see the list for the move is larger than the list to stay.
